Arguably this is exactly what happened for swine flu - a large percentage of the population had it and then it wasn't an issue anymore. It's a much milder disease with a far lower death rate, but at the point, herd immunity was being suggested we had no idea what the death rate or long-term effects would be for Covid. Labeling the suggestion "immoral" just seems really antagonistic. What about the lives of those that lose work and can no longer provide for their families? What about their families? What about other illnesses that are going untreated and undiagnosed. Super clever, on topic and all. Very constructive too, but if you want to sit at the adult's table ya gotta keep up with the conversation ok? No, but they have to get the infection rate down. Surely everybody understands that by now?
